We live in the time of ruination. And this is the time to think-with-ruins as active agents in this world.

Ruins are the places in-between, places where order and control fails and new creative opportunities emerge.

Ruins are haunted spaces. The time in ruins is disjointed. Past, present and future merge and trouble linearity.

Ruins are palimpsests. Places where multilayerd voices emerge, merge and co-merge.

Ruins are naturecultural.

Ruins are places of difference which make a difference.

Vyborg is full of derelict buildings, decaying ruins, traces of the WWII.

Time is out of joint in Vyborg. It is being haunted by many ghosts.

It sometimes feels there as if future failed to arrive to this town.

It is a place in-between.
